Kelley Mack, the actress best known for playing Addy on AMC’s The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33. Her family confirmed that she passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer.
A Courageous Fight Against a Rare Glioma
Mack was diagnosed with a diffuse midline glioma, a rare and highly aggressive tumor affecting the central nervous system. The condition progresses rapidly, and despite all efforts, Kelley passed away just months after receiving the diagnosis.
Remembering Her Career and Impact
Kelley Mack had a growing career in both acting and producing. She earned over 35 acting credits, including appearances on Chicago Med, 9-1-1, and in films like Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Delicate Arch. She also worked on national commercials and voice-over roles, showcasing her versatile talent.
She studied cinematography at Chapman University before moving into acting and filmmaking. Her final film appearance will be in the upcoming project titled Universal, which will be released posthumously.
A Life of Creativity and Kindness
Her family described her as a “bright, fervent light” who brought warmth, humor, and inspiration to everyone she met. In a heartfelt Instagram post, her sister Kathryn shared the depth of the family’s grief, calling Kelley’s passing “a loss words cannot express.”

Kelley Mack was born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992. She is survived by her parents Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow, siblings Kathryn and Parker, her grandparents, and her longtime partner Logan Lanier.
A celebration of life is scheduled for August 16 in Glendale, Ohio, where friends, family, and fans will honor her memory.
